DRS

Drag Reduction System, a driver-operated flap on an F1 car's rear wing that, when opened in designated zones, cuts drag and boosts straight-line speed to aid overtaking. It can only be used when a driver is within one second of the car ahead. The Race's DRS explainer covers exactly how it works.
