Undercut

A pit-stop strategy where a driver pits before the car ahead, then uses fresh, faster tyres to set quick laps and emerge in front once the rival stops. The opposite is the overcut, staying out longer to gain track position as others pit. Autosport has the strategy breakdowns race by race.
